Aaron Franz is Regional Managing Director at Vriens & Partners. Based in the firm’s head office in Singapore, Aaron manages regional clients and oversees in-country consultant teams and projects across the region.
With over 15 years of experience in government affairs and political risk in Asia, Aaron develops regional government affairs strategies that can be adapted to local political dynamics and drive meaningful client results. Working closely with clients, he has designed and executed major campaigns in the FMCG, financial services, energy, and technology sectors.
Aaron also leads Vriens & Partners’ regional association management practice, and previously served as Executive Director of the Southeast Asian Toy Association (SEATA) and the Europe-ASEAN Business Alliance (EABA). Aaron has lived in Asia for over 20 years, joining Vriens & Partners in 2009. Prior to joining Vriens & Partners, Aaron reported financial news from Shanghai, wrote political risk reports, and led cycling and hiking tours in China.
He holds a master’s degree in international studies from the National University of Singapore, where he focused on politics and state-society relations in Southeast Asia. He also studied Mandarin for two years at Fo Guang University in Taiwan and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Aaron lives with his wife and two children in Singapore.
