Imran Zamil Najwah is an Analyst at Vriens & Partners, based in Kuala Lumpur. He brings experience in policy formulation, legislative analysis, and international relations across Southeast Asia.
Prior to joining Vriens & Partners, Imran served as a special officer and research officer for policy and international relations to the Deputy Minister of Economy and Member of Parliament for Paya Besar, who previously chairs the Government Backbenchers Club (BBC), The Select Committee for Finance and Economy, Young Parliamentarians of AIPA (YPA) 2025, Special Select Committee on Corruption, the Bipartisan Parliamentary Caucus on United States (US) Reciprocal Tariffs on Malaysia. In these roles, he coordinated parliamentary proceedings, multilateral ASEAN parliamentary meetings and high-level diplomatic engagements and visits. Previously he was also attached to Institute of Diplomacy and Foreign Relations, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Malaysia and Merdeka Center for Opinion Research.
Imran holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree (Distinction) from Universiti Malaya. He is the recipient of Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Young Scholars for Excellence Programme.
