Jira is an Analyst at the Vriens & Partners Thailand Office. He supports the firm by conducting research for government affairs strategy, regulatory review, and issues monitoring across several sectors including agriculture, technology, and construction.
Before joining Vriens & Partners, Jira worked for the California Governor’s Office of Planning and Research in Sacramento, where he advanced state policy direction by drafting economic and regional development policies. Jira has also worked in Washington D.C., at the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy Program he contributed to research on homelessness in American cities and the implementation of community-oriented policymaking. Jira organized high-profile events for top executives and government officials and provided strategic insights on Southeast Asia’s political developments and trade regulations.Jira holds a triple major from the University of California, Irvine, with Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics, Political Science, and Urban Studies. He also completed minors in Business Management and International Studies. During his time at UC Irvine, Jira was awarded the Chancellor’s Award of Distinction, the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research, the Donald A. Strauss Foundation Scholarship, and honors from both the School of Social Sciences and the School of Social Ecology.
