Nazarra is an Associate at Vriens & Partners’ Bangkok office servicing clients across a diverse array of industries ranging from tech and manufacturing to petrochemicals and F&B. Her expertise lies in helping companies navigate complex government bureaucracies and opaque policymaking processes.
Prior to joining the firm, Nazarra spent nine years at the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs during which time her responsibilities included monitoring international trade flows, liaising with other Thai government agencies in support of economic cooperation initiatives under the APEC and United Nations ESCAP frameworks, and formulating Thailand’s official stance on climate change commitments at the COP26 summit. In addition to overseeing bilateral relations with Germany and Russia, she also represented the Thai government in numerous consultations with the private sector over issues relating to commodities trading, carbon credits, and renewable energy. Her diplomatic career was followed by a stint at the International Committee of the Red Cross where she served as a regional coordinator in charge of forging closer ties between Southeast Asia’s national Red Cross societies via training workshops, stakeholder summits, and field projects.
Nazarra’s direct experience of trade negotiations and firsthand understanding of the Thai government’s inner workings is informed by a nuanced appreciation of the impact of international geopolitics on the decision-making considerations of both investors and government regulators, all of which combine to sustain her track record of delivering concrete advocacy solutions. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Psychology, and Sociology from the University of Cambridge and a master’s degree in politics and economics from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
