Lan is an Associate Director in Vriens & Partner’s Hanoi office and is an expert on enterprise reform and development in Vietnam. Prior to joining the firm, she spent more than a decade working for the Agency for Enterprise Development within the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
As Head of State-owned enterprise Reform Division, Lan played a key role in State-owned enterprise reform processes, including providing guidance and inputs for classifying and listing State-owned enterprises to be privatized and divested between 2017-2020. She was closely involved in drafting, reviewing and monitoring these State-owned enterprises’ reform and privatization plans.
Ms. Lan has been a speaker at conferences organized by the OECD-Asia Network on Corporate Governance of State-Owned Enterprises and the Japan International Cooperation Agency. She has been a co-author on a range of research projects focused on enterprise development and public sector reform conducted with Korean researchers and funded by the Korea Knowledge Sharing Program.
Lan was awarded a Fulbright scholarship and completed her Master of Public Administration at Syracuse University, USA, in 2009. She earned her Bachelors in International Economics (Hanoi Foreign Trade University, Vietnam) in 2002.
