Ysien Lau is a Senior Analyst at Vriens & Partners’ head office in Singapore. She supports the firm’s Singapore-focused and regional clients, particularly in technology, sustainability, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), and healthcare sectors.
Before joining Vriens & Partners, Ysien was a Research Assistant at the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), a public policy think-tank under the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS. She is experienced in futures scenario planning, and helped to coordinate and facilitate multiple stakeholder workshops with representatives from the public and private sectors. She also supported the successful execution of the IPS’ flagship Singapore Perspectives Conference in 2021, conducted research on local politics and ESG frameworks, and worked on policy recommendations relating to Singapore’s future development.
Ysien graduated from Yale-NUS College (Singapore) with a B.A. in History and Liberal Arts (First Class Honors). She was a recipient of the Yale-NUS College Dean Scholarship and the Residential College Community Spirit Award.
