Dewanti is an Associate at Vriens & Partners, Jakarta. She joined the firm in 2024 to support the team’ s stakeholder engagement and policy analysis, particularly in technology, tourism, consumer goods and sustainability sectors.
Prior to joining V&P, Dewanti worked in Indonesia’s largest homegrown tech company as a Public Policy and Government Relations Manager. She supported in developing and executing advocacy strategies, while also monitoring and analyzing regulations relevant to the e-commerce industry. Dewanti was also an analyst at a boutique government affairs strategic advisory firm, where she was responsible for supporting clients in various industries such as pharmaceutical, FMCG and confectionery.
Previously, Dewanti was a journalist in The Jakarta Post, where she last held the position of Deputy Editor for the paper’s Business section. As a journalist, she specialized in trade, industry, and foreign investment, in addition to Jakarta politics and urban development.
Dewanti holds a Master of Science in Urban Management and Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Her study was fully funded by the Indonesian government and she wrote her thesis on the effect of foreign direct investment on innovation in Asian countries. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Gadjah Mada University, where she studied International Relations.
