Elaine Marie Collado is the Country Director of Vriens & Partners Philippines Inc. She leads Vriens & Partners’ Philippines practice, setting its strategic direction while advising clients on political dynamics and government affairs strategies that support market entry, operations, and growth.
She brings more than 25 years of leadership and advisory experience spanning roles in government service, law, international development, and government affairs. Her expertise covers multiple sectors including the digital economy and technology regulation, e-commerce, health, energy, agriculture, investment liberalization, fast-moving consumer goods, public–private partnerships, constitutional reform, and governance.
Elaine has held senior roles in the Philippine legislature, where she led the development of landmark legislation that automated the country’s election system, and supported principals in high-level legislative and executive deliberations. She has worked with development partners to advance economic and governance policy reform for USAID and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. As an associate at SyCip Salazar Hernandez & Gatmaitan, she practiced litigation and corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions and project finance.
Elaine holds a Bachelor’s Degree in legal management from Ateneo de Manila University and a Juris Doctor from the University of the Philippines College of Law. She has published research on constitutional law in the Philippine Law Journal and has been a member of the Philippine Bar since 2002.
