Karen is an analyst at Vriens & Partners’ Myanmar office.
In her role, she conducts research and provides analysis for clients across multiple sectors, while also tracking key developments in Myanmar.
Karen brings prior experience in conducting research, producing political analysis, and preparing written reports, including supporting a human rights activist in analysing legislation and preparing advocacy materials on justice and legal policy in Singapore. She has also provided translation services to support humanitarian advocacy initiatives.
She studied Politics and Law at Queen Mary University of London. Throughout her studies, she has authored academic papers addressing a wide range of global political, legal and socio-economic issues, with research extending beyond Western politics and covering regions such as Southeast Asia, China, and West Africa, expanding her knowledge of cross-regional dynamics.
