Martin is Senior Associate in Vriens & Partners’ head office in Singapore, where he manages regional accounts with a focus on the information and communications technology sector.
Prior to joining Vriens & Partners, Martin worked for The Asia Group, a strategy consultancy based in Washington, DC, where he focused on the Southeast Asia and business development portfolios. He previously consulted for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Southeast Asia team, teamed with Fortune 50 Chamber members to advance their business interests with both the U.S. and in-region governments. Martin additionally worked with Inle Advisory Group, a consultancy specializing in development opportunities in Myanmar, and interned with the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s office of South and Southeast Asia. He first came to Asia as a Summer Associate with Vriens & Partners’ office in Hanoi.
Martin earlier was Project Director for a non-profit focused on sanctions policy, leading a maritime-sector project that was profiled by the New York Times.
He holds an MA in International Relations/Economics and Southeast Asian Studies from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, and a Scottish MA (Hons) in International Relations from the University of St. Andrews.
