Nusaybah Maszlee

Nusaybah is an Analyst at Vriens & Partners’ Malaysia office. She is experienced across a broad range of sectors, including technology, energy, fintech, fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), healthcare, tourism, and automotive.

In the digital content space, she has supported clients in monitoring and assessing developments such as platform governance and content regulation for user-generated and curated content platforms. In healthcare, she has assisted clients in advancing policy and parliamentary engagement efforts to support increased public funding for rare disease initiatives in Malaysia.

Prior to joining Vriens & Partners, Nusaybah worked with a Member of Parliament in Johor, where she supported parliamentary business and conducted policy research on education, as well as contributed to COVID-19 relief initiatives. She also has international experience in the Middle East, where she conducted sustainability-focused research on placemaking in hot-arid climates and Qatar’s circular plastics economy.

A recipient of the Dean’s Medal, Nusaybah graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in International Politics from Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service. She completed an undergraduate honours thesis titled “What Do the Youth Want? A Comparative Study on the Political Aspirations of Youth in Public and Private Universities in Malaysia.” Nusaybah is fluent in Malay and English, and proficient in Modern Standard Arabic. In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and analogue photography.
