Since August 2023, Thanh has joined Vriens & Partners’ Hanoi office as a Senior Analyst. She conducts research and analysis on public policy issues to support clients with in-depth policy research, regulatory monitory, and advocacy projects.
Prior to joining V&P, Thanh spent 10+ years at Ministry of Finance of Vietnam (VMOF) as international affair official and negotiator in Vietnam’s negotiations for trade agreements, focusing of tariff reduction and elimination. She also participated in developing and drafting legal documents to implement Vietnam’s trade commitments under trade agreements. She joined in financial cooperation strategy development and implementation with many VMOF’s international partners.
Thanh had 6 months working at the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office (AMRO) as an Associate, where she monitored and updated finance and economic policies in Vietnam and Region, joined the Regional Team to conduct research following theme topics to contribute to ASEAN+3 Regional Economic Outlook 2023 Publication.
Thanh holds an M.S. in International Trade and Development from the University of Adelaide (Australia), Bachelor of International Trade and Bachelor of Banking from Hanoi Foreign Trade University, (Vietnam).
