Sayyid is an Analyst at the Vriens & Partners Jakarta Office. He supports the firm by conducting research for government affairs strategy, stakeholder mapping, regulatory review, and issue monitoring across various sectors, primarily financial services, technology, tourism, and transportation.
Sayyid first joined the firm as an intern in July 2023. Prior to joining, Sayyid conducted and disseminated research at three leading think tanks in Universitas Gadjah Mada: the Center for Digital Society, the Institute of International Studies, and the Center for Southeast Asian Social Studies. He also served as a liaison officer in three G20 Indonesia meetings, facilitating communication between delegates and key stakeholders.
Sayyid majored in International Relations at Universitas Gadjah Mada, with a minor in Global Politics and Security. He received a government scholarship that funded him to undergo an exchange semester at the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom, where he studied development and environmental issues.
